Having been a kid when railways still had steam and being an ex train spotter (it’s sad I know, but we didn't have computers etc etc in those days) I still find steam locos fascinating.
At the weekend there was an excursion being pulled by Princess Elizabeth going through Milton Keynes and I decided to have a go at photographing it. I contacted a good mate, Norman to drive down the A5 next to the line so that I could take some shots from the passenger’s seat, whilst Norman kept parallel.
Unfortunately there are 4 lines and the engine was on the furthest so all I could see was a funnel and smoke! Not to be deterred, we drove further south we caught up with it near Leighton Buzzard and here is the result. Not particularly happy with the pictures, but it could have been much worse.
